Afternoon Jones Production was founded by Portland, Oregon native, Cailen Pierce-Mangel. Cailen is a proficient audio engineer, music producer, and graphic designer.
Cailen: “I find it fascinating that music can invoke such strong emotion. After I got out of high school I started to listen to instrumental hip-hop beats and dissect them. That evolved into my love to freestyle over those beats with my friends or use my new found beatbox skills to supply a beat acapella while they flowed over it. For a long time my friends searched the internet high and low for the best future, rap and hip hop beats for sale. I found Ableton Live 9 and started absorbing information and uploading my beats, instrumentals, and full songs to Youtube. After a time I decided to expand my education to involve web design and made a decision to create the number 1 resource for future, hip hop, and electronic beats, AfternoonJones.com.
